Buttered Rum

Estimated dose: 1 piece of gum (15mg CBD) or 1.5 piece (10mg CBD gums) for every 75 lbs. of body weight. Start by taking this dose every 8 hours for two days.  For example, if you weigh 150 lbs., your dose would be 2 pieces of the 15mg/piece gum or 3 pieces of the 10mg/piece strength gum.  Thereafter, adjust the number chewed each time as symptoms indicate.  It is ok to round up or down and take only whole gum pieces each dose.  The frequency should be adjusted according to results and time of day that the benefits are most needed.

Slowly chew the gum and swallow deliberately when needed. Cannabinoids are absorbed in the lining of the mouth and under the tongue, arriving in the bloodstream more efficiently than when passed through the digestive system, so no need to rush!  Allowing the delicious liquids to stay longer in your mouth improves the absorption.

After 10 minutes, you can park the gum in your cheek or under your tongue for more oral absorption.  Bring the gum back into your mouth every few minutes and chew it to release more cannabinoids.  Do this for an additional 10 minutes.

St. Bernie’s gum is made from all digestible products, including the gum base itself, so if you like, swallow the gum to deliver 100% of the cannabinoids to your system.  A note of caution: please do not chew gum before sleeping, or in situations where you might doze off to reduce the possibility of choking.
